About This Blog

Television as most folks know it is changing. June 12, 2009 is the date over-the-air analog television broadcasts will end in most markets. Television stations will continue to broadcast, but the broadcasts will be in a digital format.

This station, the broadcast industry, the consumer electronics industry and our government have recognized that many viewers are unaware of this change. This blog is this station's attempt to provide information and answer questions about the DTV Transition, especially as it relates to our stations WWNY 7News and WNYF FOX-28.

In the weeks and months ahead we will share why this is happening, what we are doing, how to enjoy this new technology, and most importantly, how this will affect you post 2/17/2009 or 6/12/2009. If you are new to this page, you may wish to start with older posts to follow the progression of posts.
